Welcome!
The REACH program is meant to help parents with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with young children. Symptoms related to IBS can run in families and many parents are concerned their children will develop similar problems to theirs. This program teaches ways of learning to cope with physical discomfort early on so that children can develop helpful patterns to fully enjoy life.
About Us
The REACH program was spearheaded by Dr. Rona Levy and Dr. Tonya Palermo. They are both professors at the University of Washington and clinical psychologists.

A primary focus of Dr. Levy’s research has been on persons with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and their children, and she has published extensively and given numerous presentations on this topic. She states “The most important goals of my work are to improve the quality of life and reduce the negative consequences of IBS on individuals and their families.”
Tonya Palermo, PhD.
